Each nomination will be assessed by a panel of expert industry judges from their State or Territory against the set criteria. In September 2009 three finalists in each category will be announced for each State or Territory.

The finalists will then be asked to submit further information and supporting documentation for round two of the judging process by expert judges including government ministers, international and independent experts.

During this time the three finalists in each category will also be ‘mystery shopped’ by an independent company, and their report will contribute to the final scoring..

The State and Territory winners will be announced in late September. Winners will host an event during October or early November in their community to receive their award.

State and Territory winners are automatically entered into the National Awards. National Award winners will be announced in November.

The program will then culminate in a Gala Dinner in Perth where the winners will discuss the industry strengths, and how they are using their skills and knowledge to advance the industry and the health and fitness of the community.
